Snowflake

Snowflake is a cloud warehouse. DDL auto-commits, unquoted identifiers fold to uppercase, and the default schema is PUBLIC. Migrations are SQL.

Install

pip install "dblift[snowflake]"

Connection URL

snowflake://user:password@org-account/app/PUBLIC?warehouse=COMPUTE_WH

A snowflake:// URL is required when using the URL form. Without a URL, give account (or host) plus database. warehouse and role are optional query parameters.

Engine settings

url—A snowflake:// URL. Must use the snowflake scheme.
account—Account identifier. host is accepted as a synonym when url is omitted.
schemaPUBLICRequired. Unquoted identifiers fold to uppercase.
warehouse / role—Optional. Added to the URL query string.

Behaviour notes

DDL auto-commits.

A failed migration leaves the statements that already ran in place.

Unquoted identifiers are upper-cased.

PUBLIC is the default schema. Quote names that must keep mixed case.
